New works on display in UW-Stevens Point’s “Danstage 2024”
Featuring new dance works by faculty and guest artists, “Danstage 2024” will conclude the spring University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Department of Theatre and Dance season with performances May 3-5. “Danstage 2024” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, in the Studio Theater. Local leaders in running community to speak at UW-Stevens Point
Three local trailblazers in the running community will share their personal stories during the “Running for Life” event at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point next month. Speakers Tom Wetter, Donn Behnke and Nathan Brown will present how running impacted their live in “Running for Life: Celebrating the History of the Boston Marathon and Running Community in Central Wisconsin” at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 2, first floor of the College of Professional Studies (CPS), 1901 Fourth Ave., Stevens Point.
UW-Stevens Point’s planetarium offers shows in May
Travel the greater universe this May at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Allen F. Blocher Planetarium. Planetarium shows will be offered on the Sundays of May 5-12. A special-youth focused program for families will be offered at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, with story time followed by a show. UW-Stevens Point concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Noel Fine Arts Center Michelsen Hall, 1800 Portage Street, Stevens Point. A tale of love and redemption in a bluegrass musical will be staged at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. “Bright Star,” by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, will be staged in Jenkins Theatres of the Noel Fine Arts Center, 1800 Portage St., Stevens Point. Youth Symphony Orchestra Program holds Spring Concert on April 7th
[STEVENS POINT, WI] – April 2, 2024 - The Central Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra Program (CWYSOP) is pleased to announce that it will hold its Spring 2024 Concert on Sunday, April 7th at 4 p.m. at the Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH). The CWSO is excited to host its second Youth Symphony concert since taking over the Program in May 2023. Tickets are $5 (cash or check) and only available at the door on April 7th.
